VŠE awarded Alois Rašín Medal to Richard Hindls
The Scientific Board of the University of Economics, Prague awarded the Alois Rašín Medal to the Rector Emeritus of the University, prof. Richard Hindls.
Prof. Richard Hindls is a Czech statistician and economist with extensive publishing activities at home and abroad. He is a member of many professional committees in the Czech Republic and abroad. From 2006 to 2014, he held the position of Rector of the University of Economics, Prague. Between 2001 and 2006, he was Dean of the Faculty of Informatics and Statistics of the University of Economics, Prague. From 2014 to 2018 he was a member and vice-chairman of the Czech Television Council, and since the end of 2017 he has been a member of the National Budget Council.
Alois Rašín Medal: Since 1999, the University of Economics, Prague has been awarding personalities who have significantly contributed to the development of the University or contributed to the development of economic science and education.
